About the role
Not every important problem is a coding problem. LitmusLayer is an early-stage company where roadmaps need tracking, competitors need studying, customers need understanding, and a dozen moving parts need someone keeping them aligned. This placement sits at the intersection of management and technology.
As a management and operations placement student you will work directly with the founding team on the operational backbone of the company. You will coordinate projects, research the market and the regulatory landscape, draft documentation, and help turn strategy into things that actually get shipped. It is broad, hands-on, and a genuine window into how a technology company is built.
What you'll work with
What you'll do
- Coordinate projects and keep the roadmap, tasks, and deadlines visible and on track.
- Run market, competitor, and regulatory research and turn it into clear, usable briefs.
- Help shape go-to-market operations across outreach lists, content planning, and follow-up.
- Draft and maintain internal documentation, processes, and playbooks.
- Act as the connective tissue between engineering, content, and the founders.
What we're looking for
Preferred background: Business, Management, Computer Science, or a related degree preferred.
- Currently studying Business, Management, Computer Science, or a related degree.
- Genuinely organised. You keep track of details and follow things through to done.
- Strong written communication. You can turn messy information into a clear summary.
- Comfortable with technology and curious about how AI and compliance products work.
- Proactive and reliable working async. You move things forward without being chased.
Nice to have
Genuinely optional. Do not let a gap here stop you applying.
- Experience with project or knowledge tools such as Notion, Linear, Trello, or spreadsheets.
- Any prior internship, society, or event-organising experience.
- An interest in AI, SaaS, or regulatory technology markets.
What you'll take away
- How an early-stage technology company actually operates day to day.
- Practical project management, research, and go-to-market fundamentals.
- How strategy turns into shipped work across a cross-functional team.
